Welcome to the musical world of Jim Hudak.

Jim Hudak, whose last name means “the musician” in Slovakian, was born into a family with a 500-year history of music and composition. He’s spent a lifetime studying, composing, performing, and recording music.

Besides releasing six CD’s of piano based instrumental music on his Brainstorm Records label, Jim has also written hundreds of original compositions and arranged thousands of songs throughout his career. He’s also a veteran of the music business, serving as a music rights executive for ASCAP and SESAC. He even managed a retail record store for five years. His artistry, combined with his wide experience in the business side of music, adds up to a unique combination of talent.

Jim’s recent releases include Bridging Textures, a CD of original music that has made an impact worldwide, and its companion CD, Original Piano Solos. Both discs were co-produced by Will Ackerman, the founder of Windham Hill Records. Bridging Textures features the superb musical skills of Michael Manring on fretless bass, Tracy Silverman on violin, and Mary Fettig on saxophone, among other fine players. This musical team has helped Jim create a one of a kind album of exquisite, compelling music. Original Piano Solos consists of solo piano renditions of songs from “Textures,” along with an extra bonus track.

Jim Hudak’s CD’s are acclaimed as exceptional works of brilliant musicianship. His music is heard around the world via hundreds of radio stations, and dozens of his recordings receive continued airplay rotation on the XM, DMX, and Sirius satellite radio stations. He expects his recently installed ProTools recording system in his home studio to help generate an abundance of new songs and musical content for years to come. A special emphasis is being placed on his writing music geared for films and soundtracks.

Currently a resident of the San Francisco East Bay area, Jim performs over 250 dates per year, primarily as a piano-instrumentalist. He also plays guitar and sings, and sometimes performs under the name of “Cash Hudak,” his “twin brother,” as a country musician with outstanding original songs.

Now that you know a bit about Jim Hudak, enjoy his music. Find out why this man remains an artist on the rise.
