Invisible Attributes (2012)

Bio:

“This long awaited debut album is a realization of Jeff's passion for creating instrumental music which is composed of many musical elements that have been intricately woven together to form a unique and melodic "soundscape".

As a bassist and synthesist, Jeff especially enjoys the interplay between traditionally generated and electronic tones. The ability to blend together all the pieces of a composition's puzzle in order to create an audibly pleasing work is both a very complex and extremely gratifying process. In composing new music, he seeks to feel his way in discovering the perfect amalgam of melody, harmony and rhythm, in order to share a full spectrum of sounds which he desires will emotionally connect with each listener on numerous levels

Jeff writes: "The music box you see and hear in this project is the source of my very first melodious memories and inspiration for the piece titled “Dream Box Lullaby”. It was a gift from my mother when I was a toddler and its sound still elicits deep emotions which reverberate within my spirit when I hear it. Of course as an infant I didn’t realize its tiny tuned metal prongs were vibrating to play a famous motif melody from Tchaikovsky's “The Swan Lake”. I then blended this renowned melody with my own new harmonic interpretations, to convey with the best of my abilities that early childhood sense of awe and wonder manifested in organized sound.

The eleven pieces in his debut album "Invisible Attributes" contain ideas inspired by a variety of musical genres including: electronic, ambient, progressive rock, jazz, fusion and classical; yet combine to create engaging unique melodic and rhythmic sound textures all their own”.
